A few months ago, I called to schedule an appointment and was told there was a waiting list. I was assured I would be contacted when an opening became available, but I never received a follow-up call. I had spent a lot of time researching providers and was hopeful about receiving services here, so it was disappointing not to hear back. I understand waitlists happen, but I would have appreciated communication, even if it was just to let me know they couldn’t accommodate new patients.

Response from Mind the Gap Thank you for taking the time to share this. Feedback like yours is how we catch the gaps we can't see on our own, and we're genuinely sorry for the experience you described. We can't discuss individual calls in a public forum, but we can speak to the standards we hold ourselves to. Anyone reaching out for support deserves a clear answer about availability. Anyone on a waitlist deserves to know where they stand. When that doesn't happen, it's ours to fix. We've since tightened how we track waitlist inquiries so that anyone waiting hears from us with a status update at least every 30 days. We hate having to use a waitlist at all. The reality is that far more people in our community are seeking mental health care than there are clinicians available to provide it, which is exactly why communication matters as much as it does. We know that waiting isn't an option for everyone, especially when you're struggling. If you're still looking for care, please call us at 615-212-9141 or email us at info@mindthegaptn.com and ask for Jessica. If you're comfortable, please mention this review. We'd love the opportunity to make this right by helping you find someone who may be able to get you in sooner than we can right now.
